SCROLL DOWN FOR ADVENTURE

“The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.”

St. Augustine

Hawaii

Hawaii is compromised of six major islands: Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Lanai, Maui and Hawaii’s Big Island.  Hawaii has consistently been ranked the #1 Honeymoon spot with the island of Maui standing out on top.  Whether you choose Maui or any other Hawaiian Island, you are sure to find adventure and paradise. From the cliffs on the Napali Coast in Kauai to an active volcano on the Big Island, each island has its own characteristics.

You’ll be able to experience a variety of activities including some of the world’s best beaches, lush rainforests, volcanic deserts and gorgeous vistas.

Hawaii does not offer all-inclusive resorts but does offer so many other experiences that it will truly be a trip of a lifetime. A must-do in Hawaii is a famous Luau.

Old Lahaina Luau in Maui is one not to miss.

U.S. Virgin Islands

The U.S. Virgin Islands are a snorkeler’s paradise located about 40 miles east of Puerto Rico.  Three islands make up the U.S. Virgin Islands; St. Thomas, St. John and St. Croix.  Each with it’s own character.

The islands are known for their white sand beaches and volcanic hilly terrain.  Magen’s Bay on St. Thomas and Trunk Bay on St. John are two of the most popular.  St. Croix is the larger of the 3 islands and it’s while still somewhat hilly it does have a flatter terrain than the other two due to it’s coral make up.   You can fly into the U.S. Virgin islands or embark on a Caribbean Cruise that will allow you to several islands on your journey.

Belize

Belize is the northern most country in Central America; bordered to the north by Mexico, to the south and west by Guatemala and to the east by the Caribbean Sea.  While Belize is officially in Central America it is also considered “part of the Caribbean” so you’ll still get the “island” feel where life moves a little bit slower.  English is the main language and nearly all places accept U.S. dollars.

Belize is easy to get to with nonstop flights from many US cities.  From Belize International Airport you can take a ferry, shuttle or small plane to get to your desired destination within the country.

Belize is full of adventure!  Whether you are looking the beach, jungle, Mayan ruins or all the above there is plenty of adventure to be found.  Belize has some of the best and well known snorkel and scuba locations in the Caribbean as it’s home to the largest barrier reef in the Northern Hemisphere.  If you are an experienced diver the “Great Blue Hole” sits just over 40 miles off the coast and is one of the greatest geological wonders of the world.  For another amazing adventure, visit Belize in March and swim with the massive yet graceful whale sharks.  They usually appear around the full moon and the most spot to see one is in the Gladden Spit Marine Reserve near Placencia.  If you’re not up for that type  adventure, you can also choose from zip lining, cave tubing, and hiking.  You will not be disappointed no matter what adventure you choose.

St. Lucia

While St. Lucia is known for it’s all-inclusive resorts to the North of the island, it’s equally known for it’s more unique resorts to the South.  Some resorts offer a pool in your suite that blend into the natural landscape with an “open wall” to the outside.

The twin Pitons offer instagram worthy backdrops and gorgeous scenic hikes.  For more adventure, you can hike Gros Piton starting by land or by sea.

Many opportunities abound with deep-sea fishing, open-air jeep tours through the jungle, natural waterfalls, zip-lines and breath taking views.  Explore Soufriere with a trip to the botanical gardens, visit the drive-in volcano, take a revitalizing mud bath, or a refreshing dip at the Toraille Waterfall.

Costa Rica

Costa Rica is in Central America and lies South of Nicaragua and North of Panama.  It lies between both the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea with 800 miles of coastline.  Costa Rica is a tropical destination with both jungles and beaches and is a playground for the adventurous.  Whether it’s zip lining, rafting, hiking, horseback riding, viewing the incredible jungle from its many hanging bridges, wildlife viewing or just relaxing on the beach, everything under the sun is available to you.

Many travelers find themselves flying into Liberia Airport on the west side of the country and staying in the Guanacaste or Papagayo area.  Depending on what you prefer, you can find both all-inclusive and non all-inclusive resorts but even those visiting for the beach, tend to venture out for an excursion or two into the jungle.   Costa Rica is home to the Arenal Volcano, which is one of the ten most active volcanoes in the world, and also Costa Rica’s most visited.

Spanish is the main language but English is its unofficial second language due to the vast number of tourists from English speaking countries.  One thing you will hear a lot of is “Pura Vida”.  It’s their way of life (laidback) as well as  how they say hello, goodbye and excellent.

TOP REASONS TO USE A TRAVEL ADVISOR

Your time is valuable.  After planning a wedding or just day to day life, you shouldn’t have to spend it searching for the right vacation. Travel advisors listen to what you want and are able to help match you with the perfect destination or resort for you.  While the internet is a source of a lot of information, it can sometimes be too much information.  Travel Advisors are able to  cut through some of that and make recommendations that fit you.

A travel advisors job is to pay attention to the details.  They are able to take that complex itinerary and plan it out where it best maximizes your time and includes all aspects of your trip so everything flows smoothly.  If you have 3 stops on your European adventure then they will ensure the flights match up with the rail that matches up with the hotels in each destination. Details matter and they have the knowledge and expertise to make it as stress-free as possible.

No one likes emergencies but when using a travel advisor you have an advocate on your side! Whether it be a cancelled flight due to weather, a delay due to maintenance, an issue with not getting to correct room upon arrival or any multitude of issues, travel advisors can assist so you’re not stuck in long lines or wasting valuable time at the resort. Your travel advisor cares about you and your experience and will not leave it to the internet or to chance that it’ll work out.
